In 1990 The Homer Building's historic lobby and original four-story facade were incorporated into a new, 460,000-square-foot, 12-story building with a full height atrium. It was Akridge's first integration of new development and historic preservation, and is one of the most elegant structures in Washington's commercial center. Located atop Metro Center station, its premier amenities, including a virtual concierge, a conference center, a roof deck with rare views of the DC skyline, and a full-service fitness facility, make The Homer Building the destination for business in downtown Washington. The building has received numerous accolades, including the BOMA International's Office Building of the Year Award.
Akridge continues to maintain this trophy-class office and retail property to the highest standards, continuously upgrading technology, incorporating green features, and enhancing amenities. The Homer Building is now owned by Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc., a majority interest shareholder.
The Homer Building achieved LEED Gold Certification in 2011, has received a BOMA 360 Performance Building designation, is Wired Certified Platinum, and has earned the UL Verified Healthy Building for Indoor Air Mark.

PARKING
Underground parking, managed by Atlantic Services Group, is available Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 8:30 pm. Additional services include car-washing/detailing, battery jumpstarts and lockout service. Monthly contracts are available. BUILDING AMENITIES
The Homer Building has a number of client based amenities including a conference center, roof deck, bicycle racks in the parking garage, and a full-service fitness facility with a racquetball court and a personal trainer.
To use your building's fitness center, please complete and return this form to the client services coordinator. Once the client services coordinator has received your completed waiver, please wait two to three hours before accessing the fitness center to make sure that your fob has been properly activated.
