Prior to its sale, Akridge acquired, designed, and entitled One Tysons East, located at 1690 Old Meadow Road in Tysons, Virginia, the former GEICO training facility. The 270,000-square-foot, transit-oriented project was planned directly across from the McLean Metro Station and was designed to exceed the highest industry standards.
The approved plans envisioned a 15-story, trophy-class office building atop a five-story parking podium, with a robust amenity program including an on-site conference facility, a client-exclusive fitness center, and a landscaped terrace featuring a cyber café and bocce court. As entitled, One Tysons East was positioned to deliver a distinctive, boutique office presence in the Tysons market, with immediate access to the Capital Beltway and Route 123.
