Originally built in 1991, 800 K Street was among the first development projects to extend the boundaries of the East End. Located across from the Convention Center and DC History Center (former Carnegie Library), the complex consists of two buildings, a suspended walkway, and exterior garden areas. Akridge sold the property in 2009.
